Mistaking Mistakes

It takes a humble outlook to learn from mistakes instead of working hard to cover them up or blame someone else. I think most people understand that we learn from mistakes but that value gets tested when a mistake happens in real time. We hate saying sorry and we hate letting people down. It takes intention and a secure self-image to own a mistake and truly learn from it. Great teams don’t waste time dreading the ramifications of a mistake. They leverage it to learn a new solution for future use.
