When complaints and second guessing begin to rule the day, the team loses their purpose. The team ceases to be what it was when it serves the goal of pleasing others. Unfortunately, this is a horrendous waste of time because it’s an impossible task. People pleasers are often fooled into thinking their platitudes earn them respect. The opposite is actually the case. People pleasers are owned by those that cast the judgement on them. This kind of insecurity is a prison that limits any leader or team through wasted energy on a reputation that has become too important.
