Unfair Expectations

Expectations breed frustration. We all enter our situations with a certain set of expectations. Isn’t it true that our expectations feel the most reasonable when they aren’t met? But what if they are not actually reasonable? What if I am disappointed for no good reason? What if I am disappointed because I am ignorant of what is actually reasonable? If I refuse to make up my mind with uncommunicated expectations, I can avoid wasted energy on the emotion of self-imposed disappointment.
