Clarity is key to any team dynamic. Any time we move someone into a new role we must do so with a clear agenda. When people are not given the complete picture of their developmental path, they waste time guessing where they fit in. When responsibility is given without authority, we leave our teammate in no man’s land. They get caught in the middle of being held accountable for something that they don’t really have control over. Great teams actively seek these situations out to quickly resolve them. A person will begin to feel hopeless if left in no man’s land for too long.
