Unfaithful Feelings

Living by what we know instead of how we feel is the key to longterm success. I am willing to bet that 99% of the compromises we make to settle for less than best is the result of listening to our heart instead of our head. Put another way, I allow the feeling of the moment to supplant the proven longterm method because it feels right. Why do we do this? It is because facts do not motivate as much as emotion. Feeling tired makes us quit. Feeling sympathetic makes us let others quit. Feeling hungry makes us eat what we swore we wouldn’t eat any more. Unfaithful feelings makes us…well, unfaithful.
