Great teams know how to grind their way to a goal. Having a clear goal is the key to being able to get up everyday ready to work towards the goal regardless of whether it’s fun or not. Grinding is defined as that rote work that has to be done everyday to get the outcome that we want. Grinding isn’t fun for very long. It doesn’t really have a short cut. It does require discipline and commitment. How do the great teams put up with not having fun at every aspect of their job? They think of how fun it will be to accomplish a goal that almost no one else is disciplined enough to achieve. Outlasting someone is a lot of fun in the end.
