There has to be an end to our work. Great teams know when that end is. Defining our touchdown is important because we don’t want to come up short but we want to know when we won. Celebrating is an important moment. It acknowledges hard work. Celebrating clearly communicates to the team what the team values are. If a team fails to celebrate victories, I am sure the team will lose sight of what a victory is. Isn’t it funny how our keys are always in the last place we looked? That’s because it would be crazy to search for them after we find them. Teams do that exact same thing when they fail to celebrate. They work right past the moment of victory as if it didn’t happen.
