The Consequences of Control

Teams work best together, but sometimes teammates fight for personal control rather than the team’s success. Teamwork requires a shared responsibility and authority. People usually have good intentions when they seek to control too much. They believe that they are looking out for the good of the team. However, a focus on control can have devastating consequences that destroy a team dynamic. Ultimately, a team that is individually controlled is no team at all, but a group that serves the controlling individual.
