A Bit of Both

I used to spend hours in the weight room trying to gain strength and size. More had to be better, right? As I gained experience, I learned that I got the best gains when I committed to time outside of the weight room as well. Everyone knows that too much rest is not good for our health. What we don’t often realize is that too much work is just as unhealthy. Too much work wears down and spends energy. Too much rest weakens and uses too much storage. When teams commit to healthy levels of work and rest, we realize that the challenges of work stretch us and the recovery of rest rejuvenates us to be our best self.
