While it is true that everyone on the team should bond at some level, not everyone should be expected to bond with everyone at the same level. Some personalities are going to connect easier with others. It is unreasonable to expect all relationships to be as close as other relationships. Not everyone gets along personally with everyone else. When this is the case, it is actually better to limit interactions so that a positive relationship can be cultivated. Those that enjoy each other’s company shouldn’t be expected to invite those that wouldn’t. Relationships should be authentic on a team. That means there are different levels of depth when it comes to friendship across the board. Great teams avoid contriving a false sense of fellowship with everyone.
