Work can seem like fun sometimes because there is nothing more fun than joining forces on something with people you enjoy, but hanging out shouldn’t always be work. The better a team is at understanding the time and place for work and the time for investing in each other, the more successful they will be at both. It’s important for teams to share experiences outside of their tasks. This is especially true in the busy seasons because that is when misunderstandings and hurt feelings are most likely to happen. It’s hard to stay mad at someone when you hang out with them regularly. Great teams protect times that intentionally bring the team together to cultivate their sense of having fun together.
