Discounting Future Excellence

The difference between the ordinary team and the great team is that the great team is willing to do what it takes to become excellent while the ordinary team compromises excellence along the way. Every small compromise adds to a discounted excellence in the future. It’s easy to say that excellence is the goal when we start. What a team does when the requirements of excellence challenge the status quo inevitably decides the level of excellence that will become a reality over time.
