When a team leader comes to the point of accepting limits and realizing that the leadership of the team is beyond them, they are usually ready to share authority. The thought that usually interferes with delegating something important is that nobody else can handle it as well as I can. This is why it’s important to choose teammates that are:
1) emotionally secure
3) objective and not sentimental
Leaders that delegate well are able to recognize these traits in their teammates. They are humble enough to see these qualities in others and recruited well enough to have them available when they are needed.
