When we define roles, it’s important to trust decisions to the correct role. Perspective is the key component to understand who makes what call. Players don’t often call the plays because they don’t have the proper perspective of the entire field while they are standing on it. Coaches don’t make line calls because the players have the perspective and proximity to other players to make that call. In any organization, decision making is where the authority is found and perspective, not status, should be the determining factor in deciding who makes what call.
