Great teams understand who to listen to. Not all concerns and suggestions come from a healthy place. When unhealthy people have unreasonable expectations, they will attempt to influence decisions and team policy to help drive things towards their unmet expectations. Wisdom doesn’t find its source from unhealthy places. When unhealthy people drive decisions, we get unhealthy team policies. Unhealthy team policies lead to an unhealthy team over time. The reverse is also true. Great teams consider the source when they allow their decisions to be influenced.
