When a great idea is rushed and implemented too quickly, it loses some of its potential. This can cause a team to lose faith in a direction that they should have further developed. The great idea isn’t a bad one because it couldn’t be implemented well on short notice. Development happens over time and an overnight success is rarely as quick as outside observers think. Real life doesn’t happen in 22 minute episodes with a commercial break.
