The Confident Appeal

I am confident that confident leaders appeal more than they order. This is because they are confident that the right path is the path they are on or that the right path will be discovered as they appeal to the team. When an order comes down, there is little room for reasoning and discussion and better paths may not be discovered. Confidence allows the leader to be open to finding a better path outside of their own. Compulsion rarely creates an environment that finds the best path, even if it’s the leader’s way.
