Baptism by Fire

Important team positions are often given to people who we like and trust personally but may not be qualified for that position. The hope is that they will grow into the spot. Unfortunately, that learning curve is costly and may actually serve to limit a person’s potential as they are baptized by fire. Whatever short-term benefits need to be weighed against the fact that fire always leaves it’s mark.
