The team that considers that money is the answer to every problem will likely invest in projects and solutions that are not deserving of the investment. This is usually due to impulsive personalities that live in the moment. Impulsive resource decisions are not well thought out. There isn’t usually a great plan. When spending money is the overall strategy, it creates a lack of discipline in real planning. While money can make things happen faster and well, it is rarely a limitless resource. We ultimately get what we pay for without the discipline of a good plan. The future has been discounted for the present. Unfortunately, the spend-first team will eventually run out of finances and will then lack the discipline required to plan without those resources.
