Everyone has bad days. When a teammate has one, it’s important to acknowledge it and communicate the care that any human deserves when going through a tough time. Bad days come and go and should never be a reason to change our opinion of a teammate. The same should be true of mistakes. If a teammate is dismissed for a bad day or a mistake, the rest of the team will take note because they know they too will have bad days and make mistakes and now they also know what to expect when that next bad day comes or when a mistake happens. That “what have you done for me lately” attitude from a team is a cheap way to motivate through fear.
