This is the time of year for New Year’s resolutions. When new goals are made, a conviction to be better and the sense of a fresh start can be motivating. Did we as team achieve the goals we set before today? If not, what stood in the way? Were those goals measurable? If so, were they objectively or subjectively measurable? Was the goal or resolution achievable? Were others able to sabotage the achievement of the goal or were we completely in control of the outcome? Do last year’s goals need to be abandoned or do new phases simply need to be implemented? All of these questions help our teams write great goals that move us forward and that momentum can carry us past New Year’s Day.
